Spaghetti Carbonara

Dad’s Spaghetti “Carbonara”

Approximation of the real dish. A family favourite.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 250 gr closed cup mushrooms
  • 250 ml crème fresh
  • milk
  • salt & pepper
  • spaghetti for 4
  • 12 slices Parma ham

Method
 

Plates
  1. Preheat the oven to 120 degree
  2. Drape 3 slices on 4 dinner plate each and place in the oven
Sauce
  1. Peel and dice the onions and peel and chop the cloves of garlic. Fry in olive oil until glazed
  2. Add the mushrooms and fry for a further two minutes
  3. Add the crème fresh and bring to a boil
  4. Season with salt & pepper
  5. Add milk to give it the right consistency
Spaghetti
  1. Cook the spaghetti as per instructions on the package
  2. Remove the heated plates from the over with an oven mitt, portion the spaghetti per plate and add the sauce
Serving suggestion
  1. Garlic bread
